Wer im OSINT-Bereich effizient arbeiten will, ist nicht nur auf bestehende Plattformen angewiesen. Eigene Tools können helfen, Informationsflüsse gezielt zu automatisieren, Daten schneller auszuwerten und Ergebnisse übersichtlich darzustellen.

In meinem Online-Seminar „Build Your Own Tools" am 10.06.2026 geht es darum, wie sich solche individuellen Werkzeuge und Workflows für die eigene OSINT-Praxis konzipieren und umsetzen lassen.

Das gezeigte Beispiel vermittelt, was grundsätzlich möglich ist:
Ein Tool, das Telegram-Kanäle automatisiert scraped, Inhalte übersetzt, inhaltlich klassifiziert, kurz zusammenfasst und relevante Ereignisse auf einer Karte visualisiert.

Das Seminar richtet sich an alle, die OSINT nicht nur anwenden, sondern eigene Lösungen entwickeln und ihre Analyseprozesse gezielt erweitern möchten.

My macOS app just made it through App Review and is now available in the App Store.

It's a local-first image analysis tool built with investigative and OSINT workflows in mind:

• automatic image labeling using Apple's Vision framework
• OCR search for text inside images
• searchable notes and annotations
• detailed EXIF / metadata inspection
• everything runs offline, nothing leaves your machine

I originally built it because I needed a tool like this myself — now I'm happy to share it with others.

Keep in mind this is version 1.0. It still needs some work, could look a bit nicer, and will receive new features in the future (e.g. database and/or OCR export and more). For now, I'm just glad it's up and running.

And since it's available through the App Store, future updates will be installed automatically — no hassle doing this manually.

Last week we delivered an OSINT training for the Ukrainian Office for Missing Persons in Special Circumstances.

This is OSINT at its most human.

The commitment and seriousness of the participants is remarkable. Every method discussed carries weight. Every source matters. Because behind every case is a real person. Still deeply touched by a statement from one of the participants:

OSINT is our way of saying to every mother, every soldier, every child: "We will not give up. We will find you. We will give you back your name."
